New Features

1

Professional UI Editor

UI document/canvas system with element hierarchy, frames, panels, text labels, image elements, buttons, input fields, scrollable and layout containers. Selection, resizing, alignment guides, anchors, pivots, responsive layout, font and colour controls, background images, image upload and reuse.

2

UI Editor Save/Reload Consistency

Editor and game runtime use the same UI document and data model. Runtime renders the actual saved UI document.

3

FluxScript Context-Aware Autocomplete

Tab acceptance, suggestions from valid language symbols and engine APIs.

4

Inline Ghost-Text Suggestions

Ghost text remains uncommitted until accepted. Suggestions derive from valid symbols only.

5

Hover Documentation + Signature Help

Hover docs for entities, properties, actions. Function signature help in the script editor.

6

Quick Fix + Formatting

Apply suggested fixes directly from diagnostics. Code formatting where supported.

7

FluxScript Debugging Tools

Runtime logging, variable inspection, breakpoint-like step debugging where feasible.

13

Security Audit

Verify no API keys exposed in frontend, script execution limits, asset upload validation.

14

Accessibility + Input

Text scaling, subtitle controls, keyboard and controller support, editor usability improvements.

15

Publishing Workflow Verification

Verify builds and published games actually exist and launch. Document unsupported export targets honestly.

16

Full lifecycle test: create project, generate game, edit scene, import assets, modify scripts, use autocomplete, execute scripts, create UI, upload images, run Play Mode, save/reload, build/publish, recover from failure.

Breaking Changes

Breaking Changes

V2.9 introduces schema migration. Projects created in earlier versions are migrated automatically on load. The project format gains a version field.

Migration

Projects created in V2.8 or earlier are automatically migrated on first load. The migration is non-destructive — original data is preserved. A backup snapshot is created before migration applies.
