Step-by-Step Guide

1

2

Open the Create page

From the Discover page, click the "Create" button in the top navigation bar.

3

Choose a creation method

Select "Start from Template" for a guided setup, or "AI Generation" to let the AI Director build your game from a prompt.

4

Name your project

Enter a descriptive name like "My First Adventure" and select a category (e.g., Adventure, Puzzle, Action).

5

Click Create

Appley creates your project and opens it in Creator Studio automatically. You are now ready to build!

FluxScript Example

Here is the FluxScript (Appley Scripting) code for this tutorial:

Creating Your First Project — FluxScript
// Your very first Appley Script
on start {
  print("Welcome to my first game!")
  player.setSpeed(6)
  player.setHealth(100)
  ui.show("welcomeMessage")
}

Node Script Equivalent

Prefer visual programming? Here is the same logic as a Node Script graph:

Creating Your First Project — Node Graph
[On Start] ──► [Print: "Welcome to my first game!"]
         ──► [Set: player.speed = 6]
         ──► [Set: player.health = 100]
         ──► [Show UI: "welcomeMessage"]

Pro Tip

Start with a template that matches your game genre. Templates include pre-configured cameras, lighting, and controls.

Watch Out

Choose your project name carefully — it becomes the title when you publish. You can change it later, but a good name from the start helps you stay organized.
