Step-by-Step Guide

1

Open your project

Launch Creator Studio from your Projects list.

2

Identify the Viewport

The large central 3D area is the Viewport — this is where you see and manipulate your scene in real time.

3

Find the Hierarchy

The left panel is the Scene Hierarchy — a tree view of every object in your scene.

4

Locate the Inspector

The right panel is the Inspector — it shows properties of whatever object you have selected.

5

Explore the bottom tabs

Bottom tabs switch between Script Editor, Node Editor, Asset Browser, and Terrain Tools.

6

Find the toolbar

The top toolbar contains Play, Save, Publish buttons and the transform tools (Move, Rotate, Scale).

FluxScript Example

Here is the FluxScript (Appley Scripting) code for this tutorial:

Understanding the Editor — FluxScript
// Editor setup script — runs in edit mode
on start {
  editor.setGrid(true)
  editor.setSnap(true)
  editor.setRenderQuality("medium")

  // Auto-select the main camera on open
  camera = scene.find("MainCamera")
  if camera != null {
    editor.select(camera)
  }
}

Node Script Equivalent

Prefer visual programming? Here is the same logic as a Node Script graph:

Understanding the Editor — Node Graph
[On Start] ──► [Set Grid: true]
         ──► [Set Snap: true]
         ──► [Set Render Quality: medium]
         ──► [Find: "MainCamera"]
              ├─ Not Null ──► [Select]
              └─ Null ──► (skip)

Pro Tip

Memorize the keyboard shortcuts for switching panels: F1 for Viewport, F2 for Hierarchy, F3 for Inspector. They save enormous time.

Watch Out

Don't close panels you think you don't need — you can collapse them to save space, but closing entirely means you'll need to re-enable them from the Window menu.
