Using the Inspector
Edit object properties using the Inspector panel.
Introduction
The Inspector is where you configure everything about a selected object — its position, rotation, scale, material, scripts, and components. This tutorial shows you how to use it effectively.

Step-by-Step Guide
Select an object
Click any object in the viewport or hierarchy. The Inspector on the right updates instantly.
View the Transform
At the top of the Inspector, you see Position, Rotation, and Scale values — the object's transform.
Edit transform values
Click any X, Y, or Z field and type a new number. The object updates in real time in the viewport.
Change the material
Scroll down to the Material section. Click the material slot to assign or create a new material.
Add components
Click "Add Component" at the bottom to attach scripts, colliders, rigidbodies, and more.
Use the search bar
For objects with many components, use the Inspector search to quickly find a specific property.
FluxScript Example
Here is the FluxScript (Appley Scripting) code for this tutorial:
// Access and modify object properties
on start {
// Find an object and read its properties
crate = scene.find("WoodenCrate")
if crate != null {
pos = crate.transform.position
print("Crate is at: " + pos.x + ", " + pos.y + ", " + pos.z)
// Modify properties
crate.transform.position = vec3(5, 2, 3)
crate.transform.rotation = vec3(0, 45, 0)
crate.transform.scale = vec3(1.5, 1.5, 1.5)
// Change material color
crate.material.color = color(255, 0, 0)
}
}Node Script Equivalent
Prefer visual programming? Here is the same logic as a Node Script graph:
[On Start] ──► [Find: "WoodenCrate"]
──► [Branch: Not Null]
├─ True ──► [Get Position] ──► [Print]
──► [Set Position: (5,2,3)]
──► [Set Rotation: (0,45,0)]
──► [Set Scale: (1.5,1.5,1.5)]
──► [Set Material Color: red]Pro Tip
